When you think of jobs that will be around for a while, one thing is for certain, the marketing industry won’t be going anywhere. Why? Because as brands continue to evolve, technology becomes more significant, and digital advertising rises, the people who will be leading the way in all those areas are marketers.
After COVID hit, companies realized how important marketing was, if they didn’t already know. Many employers are now expanding marketing departments, and relying on their marketers for revenue ideas, creative ways to stand out from competitors, and funding larger budgets than ever before.
This industry is also completely equipped to be remote – which is another leading trend for the industry and job seekers in these job role areas. According to Global News Wire, the industry is projected to reach a revised size of US$786.2 Billion by 2026, growing at a CAGR of 13.9% over the analysis period. Not only does the industry have a price tag on it, but there’s no expectation of a decline happening anytime soon.
The way I see it (I’m a marketer) is that the industry will only continue to grow and become larger. With the emergence of Tik Tok, and app-based marketing, more roles will need to be filled, and regardless of what marketing you’re doing, it’s a necessity for any business.
So, if you’re an employer that isn’t utilizing marketing to the fullest right now, or a job seeker wondering what industry they should go into next, the marketing world is here to stay and will start leading the way.
